In the first part of 2000, Patty Lapinski, founder of the RoHM, decided that maintaining the ever growing RoHM database had become more than one person could manage. Consequently, Patty appointed a committee to act as trustees to ensure that the RoHM not only continued, but also that the data in the RoHM could and would be verified by multiple individuals. Thus began the RoHM committee, still headed by Patty Lapinski, but with the aid of Patricia Wilcox of Old Lyme, CT and Pamela Simmons of Lexington, KY. The RoHM committee looks forward to the expansion of the RoHM and its increasing value toward helping serious breeders make more knowledgeable breeding decisions based on genetic health and merit of the listing's kennels and dogs. Since that time the entire RoHM Register has been turned over to the Blue Grass Parson Russell Terrier Club, Inc.

One of the functions of the RoHM is to keep breeders abreast of current genetic diseases and any scientific or veterinary tests that become available to pinpoint these diseases. Check back often and we'll keep you informed. Additionally, RoHM recognizes the need to expand, thus providing its services to new breeds such as the newly accepted AKC Russell Terrier. We are proud to include this lovely breed into the RoHM family of reputable breeders.

From time to time, RoHM also recognizes the progressive services of other enterprises that represent outstanding positive effects on the breed, the enthusiast or the consumer and that advance or otherwise benefit the greater Jack Russell Terrier community. When such occasions arise, the RoHM will lend support to these enterprises by way of providing links to the respective locations and contact information.

“This directory of breeders was created in an attempt to bring back together those breeders of Jack Russell & Parson Russell Terriers that have "drifted apart" over the last several years, as new avenues opened up for the terrier. With the surge in popularity of this breed, there have been many recent changes in the various registries which are sometimes difficult to keep abreast of. So we've tried to span the registries, and bring back together again, some of the most prominent long-time breeders, as well as those younger kennels who are just starting to make their mark on the breed.

We've also provided a page with information and links that should be of interest to all terrier owners and breeders. Information on everything from genetic health, to earth work and to Rescue is available for you at the click of a mouse. This page will more than likely always be evolving, as more and more doors open up for this unique little dog.
